Yoga on Purpose
Ignite Yoga 300 hr Advanced Training is a year long journey to uncover, discover, and recover all that you truly are. This program approaches learning from a work-in to work-out perspective. When you courageously approach your personal experience of life, you gain insight to live from understanding and truth. This insight allows you to open-heartedly explore the various realms of yoga and personal development so that you can choose the path of teaching that inspires you.
The intention of this training is for you to create and explore your path. Through this training you will gain personal growth and strength, deeper knowledge of the practical tools of yoga, and be able to teach and meet any student(s) with confidence and self-worth. Everything you learn here, you will learn for your life.
The realm of yoga is vast. This training is broken down to focus on three key principles:
Self-exploration and discovery to live life on purpose and better relate to the human experience. This includes study and application of yoga philosophy, meditation, nutrition, communication, and various energy and therapeutic modalities.
Begin with you
Focus on understanding who your student is and what you need to better relate and provide quality sessions to all practitioners. This includes working with various populations and settings such as trauma, children, limited mobility, private sessions, and large groups.
Empower Your Students
Hone the art and skill of being a powerful and influential yoga instructor. This includes learning various sequencing and stylistic approaches, anatomical understanding and how it varies, and firing up your teaching through voice and communication.
Guide with your why
This program is a year long journey. All participants will begin and end the journey together. Your participation is required on set weekends, at bi-weekly online meetings, and an immersion in July 2018. The remaining hours of study will be done at your convenience at various workshops and series courses offered throughout the year.
All hours must be completed by January 13th, 2019.

kim carter - LEAD facilitator, 500 e-ryt
Kim has been teaching yoga since 2004, and was co-founder of Practice Yoga, the first Dayton area yoga studio to offer traditional Ashtanga and hot vinyasa yoga classes. She has learned, studied, and practiced Ashtanga and Hatha yoga with Martha Marcom, Tim Miller, David Swenson, Doug Keller, Rodney Yee, and many more. Her ultimate philosophy is "any amount," which she uses as a metric to gauge the usefulness of various asana for the individual. Currently, she is turning her inquiry to biomechanics outside the traditional yoga realm. Kim believes that the true worth of a teacher is her ability to inspire others to realize their potential.

Justina began practicing and studying, what felt like, every style of yoga available, when she finally landed in Power Vinyasa. Power vinyasa challenged her mind, forcing a deeper look at life and how she was living. Once she began to see how her life was changing through practice and exploration, she knew she could never go back. Awakened by the experience, she's been studying personal development and empowerment and bringing it to the yoga practice ever since.
matt giordano - Guest facilitator
Giordano is primarily based in Connecticut and Manhattan, where he teaches at local studios and shows off his daring side riding motorcycles along the open road. Well-known for his ability to guide students deeply into postures with his refined attention to detail and precise action cues, Giordano is an adept guide for all-levels students. His study of biomechanics and integrative mind-body techniques informs his teaching, as he draws upon wisdom from traditions of yoga, martial arts, acrobatics, AcroYoga and Thai Yoga Massage. In the end, Matt inspires a humble confidence, allowing students to find ease while expanding the edge of their comfort zones.
