"Peace does not happen by accident."
In a world that's full of chaos, to-dos, deadlines, and meeting needs of others, it's no wonder that we now, more than ever, need relaxation and peace.
Meditation has been around for centuries. It's a simple process that uses techniques and practices to promote relaxation in the body and mind so that one is proactive against illness as a result of stress. Meditation has also been deemed to develop benevolent qualities such as patience, compassion, generosity, and forgiveness.
Foundation in Meditation is a workshop geared towards those ready to start a meditation practice and regular meditators that would like to deepen their practice. We will examine how meditation can be used as a tool for relieving stress, as well as why it is a path to gaining a better understanding of who you really are. We will be introduced to and practice several styles of meditation. By exploring the basics of how to set up a meditation practice that fits your needs, you will be ready for a lifelong practice.
