Fall is a transitional season from the heat of summer to the cold of winter. Although it is the natural rhythm of life, it can have a huge impact on our overall health. This workshop is the perfect time to explore how the change of seasons effects our whole being. We will review the foundations of Ayurveda and dive deeper into this sister science of yoga. We will take a closer look at the qualities of the doshas, the elements, and how to make a smooth transition into the cooler days of winter. Finally, we will discuss steps needed to prepare for a 3-day cleanse because the practice of a seasonal cleanse is a vital part of an Ayurvedic lifestyle. Cleansing is a way to eliminate toxins that build up in our body due to the environment, processed foods, unsettled emotions, and overall stress. The process works to draw these toxins out of our system and into the digestive tract to be eliminated.

Cleansing actually gives our body a break from our normal routine, which allows for rest, recuperation, and healing. Ultimately, a sense of balance is restored to body, mind and spirit. This can help to improve energy, strength, and immunity just in time for the winter season.
